Installation

Install AEO Enhancer, connect your store, and verify the app is ready to create previews and tasks.

Installation

This page explains how to install AEO Enhancer on a Shopify store and confirm everything is working.

Before you install

Make sure you have:

  • Shopify admin access for the store
  • Permission to install apps
  • The ability to approve changes and access theme settings if you plan to render approved content blocks

Install the app

  1. Open the AEO Enhancer install link you were provided
  2. Shopify will show the permission screen
  3. Review requested permissions, then click Install
  4. After install, you will be redirected into the embedded app

If you cannot install, confirm you are logged into the correct Shopify store and that your account has permission to install apps.

Connect and verify access

After the app loads:

  1. Confirm the store name and domain shown in the app match your store
  2. Navigate to the dashboard
  3. Confirm you can open the task inbox

If the app shows an auth required message, use the reconnect flow and try again.

Enable storefront rendering

If you want AEO Enhancer content to appear on your storefront, you should render only approved content.

There are two common approaches:

  1. Theme App Extension blocks
Use the app blocks inside your theme to render approved product, collection, blog, or FAQ content.

  2. Manual theme integration
Your developer can read approved metafields and render them in your theme templates.

Do not render draft outputs on the live storefront.

Verify the approval first workflow

Do a quick end to end check:

  1. Create a task from the dashboard, such as an Optimize Result draft
  2. Open the task modal and confirm a preview exists
  3. Approve the task
  4. Execute the task
  5. Confirm the timeline shows created, approved, executed, completed
  6. If needed, test rollback on a low risk task

If any step fails, go to Troubleshooting then Common errors.

Optional setup

Brand voice

If you want content to match your tone and style:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Fill in brand voice details
  3. Save and confirm the prompt preview looks correct

Brand voice changes affect newly generated previews.

Regulated industry mode

If you operate in a regulated category:

  1. Enable regulated industry mode in Settings
  2. Expect extra confirmation steps before execution
